Purolator Inc. is seeking a skilled and licensed Tradesperson (Electrician or Millwright) to join its operations in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, testing, and repairing Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including conveyors, gear boxes, rollers, drive units, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The goal is to ensure equipment is operating reliably and efficiently while complying with health and safety standards.

This position requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted service delivery. The Licensed Tradesperson will also maintain detailed reports, coordinate work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and uphold strict safety and compliance practices.

The role involves physical efforts including lifting and lowering up to 70 lbs, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, walking, climbing, crawling, reaching, and performing low back movements.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on MHE.

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical or mechanical failures.

• Inspecting, monitoring, and troubleshooting equipment.

• Preparing safety and operational reports.

• Documenting work orders in CMMS.

• Supporting operational efficiency by reducing equipment downtime.

Education Requirements:

• Completion of a specialized course from a community or recognized technical college (approx. 3 academic years).

• Licensed Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) or Licensed Industrial Millwright Certificate (433A), depending on specialization.

Working Hours:

• Friday to Monday, 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours per week), from 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid break.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment.
