Educational And Cultural Program Facilitator

The Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges is seeking a part-time Animateur / Animatrice to join its dynamic and passionate team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, leading, and adapting educational and cultural activities primarily for children, as well as for various community and intergenerational groups. This role plays a vital part in the museum’s educational mission by fostering creativity, discovery, and learning through interactive cultural experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate workshops, educational sessions, and guided tours for school groups, families, and community visitors.

• Adapt activities to suit different age groups, learning levels, and participant needs.

• Prepare and organize all materials and tools required for educational programs.

• Design and propose new educational activities aligned with the museum’s ongoing exhibitions and cultural programming.

• Contribute to promoting local culture, history, and the arts within the community.

• Conduct off-site activities in schools, community centers, and other partner institutions as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma (DES – secondaire 5) or equivalent.

• Strong interest in culture, history, and the arts.

• Relevant experience in education, animation, or working with children and youth.

• Demonstrated creativity, enthusiasm, and initiative in program delivery.

• Bilingualism (French and English) is essential for interacting with diverse audiences.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

• Asset: Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for off-site activities.
