Northern Gateway Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Full-time Teacher Assistant to join Hillside Jr/Sr High School in Valleyview, Alberta. This role involves providing support to students individually and in small groups to enhance their learning experience, while assisting teachers and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students individually and in small groups to support their educational progress.

• Collaborate with teachers and other educational assistants to maintain an inclusive classroom environment.

• Carry out oral and written directions effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in interactions with students, staff, parents, and the public.

• Support the school’s administrative procedures and adhere to NGPS policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable).

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Ability to establish rapport with children, parents, and staff.

• Capable of working collaboratively and independently.

• Understanding of confidentiality and professional practices.
