Job Title: Director of Financial Education
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Overview
The Director of Financial Education provides visionary leadership to advance Money Mentors’ financial education strategy across Alberta and beyond. This role focuses on expanding the organization’s reach through innovative, impactful financial literacy programming for employed and self-employed Albertans and Canadians, our own Orderly Payment of Debt clients, and the broader communities we serve. The Director drives strategic partnerships, oversees curriculum development, and ensures all educational initiatives align with organizational priorities.

Qualifications:
· Education: diploma or degree. Certified Educator in Personal Finance and/or Accredited Financial Counsellor certificates are acceptable.
· Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching and facilitating, or finance.
o At least 3 years of leadership experience.
· Skills and Competencies:
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
o Proven record of successful business development.
o Strong presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
o Knowledge of personal finance topics.
o Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
o Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for virtual education and outreach.
Requirements of the Role: occasional travel required.
