Proposal Writer

Description:

Colliers, one of Canada’s leading commercial real estate services firms, is seeking a Proposal Writer to produce high-quality, professional client proposals and support business development efforts. The role requires attention to detail, excellent storytelling skills, and the ability to manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines. The position is based in Toronto and offers a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create professional, high-quality proposals that educate and inspire clients and prospects.

• Strategically manage proposal responses, including writing, editing, and coordinating content to ensure accuracy and conciseness.

• Write supporting collateral such as case studies and sell sheets.

• Ensure consistent application of Colliers’ brand standards across all communications.

• Develop core content for proposal submissions.

• Prepare and support proposal presentations and interviews.

• Participate in trend analysis, proposal debriefings, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with senior managers and the executive team.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or equivalent work experience.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (including PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, is preferred.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in developing proposals and responding to RFPs.

• Excellent business writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Ability to express ideas compellingly using text and graphics.

• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

• Must be authorized to work in Canada full-time; employer will not sponsor work visas.
