Freelance Human Resources Consultant

Proxima Centauri, a multidisciplinary consulting firm established in 2008, is seeking proactive and experienced Human Resources Consultants (freelancers) to join its team remotely across the Province of Québec. The firm specializes in Management, Human Resources, and Marketing, supporting organizations of all sizes and sectors to “create a world people want to belong to.”

As a Consultant RH, you will collaborate on diverse projects that drive organizational transformation, optimize HR practices, and strengthen workplace culture. Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in HR, management, and recruitment mandates, providing expert analysis and actionable recommendations.

• Evaluate and diagnose HR practices to identify improvement opportunities.

• Contribute to defining or revising an organization’s vision, mission, and values.

• Design and implement strategies for talent attraction, retention, and engagement, developing measurable action plans to enhance key HR indicators.

• Support recruitment initiatives through candidate research, outreach, and engagement.

• Create and facilitate webinars, workshops, and training sessions relevant to HR and management best practices.

• Provide overall support to project teams in executing consulting assignments effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Graduate studies (Master’s or equivalent) in Human Resources, Management, or a related discipline (postgraduate degree is an asset).

• Experience: At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in HR consulting, recruitment, or organizational development.

• Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills (French proficiency required).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strategic thinker with analytical and advisory capabilities.
