Description:

PROMAN Canada, a branch of an international company operating in the transportation industry, is hiring a Human Resources Advisor for its Dorval office. Reporting directly to the HR Director, the selected candidate will serve as a generalist HR professional responsible for recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration across various terminals in Quebec.

Key Responsibilities:

🔍 Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Conduct candidate pre-screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.

  • Lead onboarding processes for new hires across terminals in Quebec.

  • Manage the electronic training modules for new employees.

  • Represent the company at job fairs and recruitment events.

🤝 Employee Relations:

  • Act as the main point of contact for employee queries and concerns.

  • Facilitate conflict resolution and support investigation procedures when needed.

  • Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives (e.g., birthday celebrations, GLS appreciation BBQs, driver award ceremonies).

  • Perform weekly site visits to terminals to ensure regular employee interaction and presence.

  • Support progressive disciplinary processes, performance management, and return-to-work cases.

📁 HR Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic employee records.

  • Ensure compliance with federal labor standards and internal HR policies.

  • Generate weekly and monthly performance reports (e.g., turnover rates, recruitment activities, terminal visit summaries).

💼 Benefits & Payroll Support:

  • Assist in benefits administration including enrollments, updates, and employee communication.

  • Coordinate with the payroll department on internal inquiries and onboarding documentation for new hires.


Perks & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: CAD 55,000/year (CAD 4583/month)

  • Hybrid Model: 1–2 remote work days per week after training

  • Paid Personal Days: 3 per year

  • Paid Sick Days: 10 per year

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bilingualism: Fluent in French and English, especially due to company presence in Ontario

  • Mobility: Able to travel frequently to terminals across Quebec

  • Knowledge: Understanding of Quebec labor laws

  • Experience: At least 1 year in a similar HR generalist or advisory role
