Civil Litigation Associate Lawyer

Stringam Law, one of Alberta’s largest and most respected regional law firms, is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate Lawyer to join their Grande Prairie office. The successful candidate will join a collaborative, supportive team and handle a variety of complex litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and advocate for a broad range of civil litigation cases, including:

  • General litigation

  • Family law and divorce

  • Construction litigation

  • Estates litigation

  • Corporate commercial litigation

• Handle all phases of litigation, from discovery through to trial.

• Draft legal documents, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court or mediation.

• Liaise with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.

• Maintain high professional standards and ethical practices.

• Contribute to the positive, team-oriented culture within the office.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Law degree from an accredited Canadian law school or equivalent.

• Member in good standing with a Canadian provincial law society.

• Minimum 1–5 years of litigation experience, with 3+ years preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently across multiple litigation types.

• Strong drafting, communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

• Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.

• Self-motivated, focused, and detail-oriented.

• Able to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
