Automotive Service Technician Instructor

Description:

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is seeking a permanent full-time Automotive Service Technician Instructor to join the Faculty of Trades & Technology. This position involves delivering Foundation and Apprenticeship training to students pursuing careers in the automotive service industry.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction in Automotive Service Technician programs.

• Teach both theoretical concepts and hands-on practical skills to students.

• Support student learning by fostering an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

• Ensure alignment with industry standards and provide mentorship to future automotive professionals.

Required Qualifications:

• BC Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal (IP RSE) or equivalent certification from another jurisdiction.

• Minimum 5 years of diverse experience as an automotive repair journeyperson.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively teach and engage students.

• Previous instructional experience is an asset but not mandatory.
