Airbus Canada Limited Partnership, part of the global Airbus family, is seeking motivated and skilled Preflight Mechanics (Mécanicien de prévol) to join the A220 Commercial Aircraft Program team in Mirabel, Quebec. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with industrial, aerospace, or transferable technical backgrounds who are passionate about aviation and eager to develop new skills in aircraft maintenance.

As a Preflight Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in preparing aircraft for safe and efficient operations. This includes inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various mechanical systems to ensure full compliance with Airbus standards and aviation industry regulations. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that values precision, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Install, repair, and adjust mechanical components of aircraft.

• Conduct functional tests and ensure system performance.

• Maintain and troubleshoot systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, and flight controls.

• Perform daily preflight inspections and refueling operations.

• Assist in engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) testing.

• Implement service bulletin modifications while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

• Actively contribute to Airbus’ continuous improvement program (AES).

• Carry out other related functions depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

• D.C.S. or A.C.S. in Aircraft Maintenance OR valid M2 Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant recent experience.

• Strong autonomy, initiative, and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights up to 30 feet on a regular basis.

• Physically capable of performing tasks requiring varied positions.

• Strong communication skills with proficiency in French (oral and written).
