Technical Training Specialist Instructor

 

Description:

CAE, a global leader in aviation training and simulation, is seeking an Instructeur spécialiste en formation technique to join its Montreal-based team. This role is focused on technical training (not pilot training), offering opportunities to work on state-of-the-art flight simulators and train customers worldwide on technical operations, software tools, and maintenance practices to ensure simulator reliability and efficiency.

As a Technical Training Specialist, you will gain exposure to all major simulator modules and work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams. Acting as a liaison between CAE and its clients, you will frequently travel to client sites worldwide to deliver classroom instruction, hands-on technical training, and troubleshooting guidance to technicians and engineers from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person technical training on CAE’s simulation products to clients worldwide.

  • Participate in the development and improvement of training materials alongside engineering, production, and project stakeholders.

  • Serve as a key technical resource for clients regarding simulator operations and maintenance.

  • Conduct both theoretical classroom sessions and practical training on real equipment and simulator systems.

  • Provide guidance, knowledge-sharing, and mentorship to client technical teams.

  • Travel internationally (up to 60% of the time) to provide on-site technical training and support.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, education, communication, or a related technical field.

  • Professional fluency in English; bilingual (French and English) candidates preferred.

  • Strong communication and knowledge-sharing abilities.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to different technological contexts and architectures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical curiosity.

  • Organizational skills, planning ability, and adaptability to changing environments.

  • Passion for aviation and flight simulation.

  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, during travel assignments.

  • Availability to travel up to 60% internationally.
