Description:

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Clerk Cashier to provide retail services at ESSO Expressmart in Shannon, QC. This role serves members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), supporting their community and enhancing their daily lives through efficient retail operations. The Clerk Cashier will operate Point of Sales systems, debit/credit machines, maintain a cash float, and provide customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a variety of retail services including sales, dry cleaning, lottery, self-serve gas, postal services, and assist CAF members with credit plan applications.

• Respond to customer enquiries, provide merchandising information, and ensure store shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed.

• Prepare food and beverage orders, manage takeout service, and maintain cleanliness of food service areas.

• Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.

• Collaborate with team members to deliver an excellent customer experience.

• Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling (10–50 lbs).

Qualifications:

• Education, training, or experience relevant to retail operations.

• Food Handling Certification (if required).

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Quebec, if required).

• Competencies: client focus, communication, teamwork, organizational knowledge, innovation, and leadership.

• Language: French required.

Work Conditions:

• On-site, casual position with assigned work location.

• Up to 13 1/3 or 12 ½ hours per week.

• Casual employees may be re-hired on new contracts without a break in service.
