Description:
Level. Changing Lives Through Law is seeking a committed and driven Part-Time Program Manager to co-develop and lead the Black Youth Justice Program. This is a remote contract-based position open to individuals residing anywhere in Canada, ideal for someone passionate about youth justice education, access to justice, and equity within legal systems.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Social Justice Program Manager to research, design, implement, and manage a comprehensive outreach and education initiative aimed at Black youth across Canada. This role is integral in promoting systemic change and empowering communities through legal education.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Development:
Conduct nationwide research to identify existing gaps in justice-related programming for Black youth
Draft educational materials and develop innovative curricula tailored for Black youth empowerment and legal literacy
Create resources and content to support the implementation and scaling of the program across Canada
Program Leadership:
Lead outreach and partnership-building with educational institutions, youth centres, and community organizations
Recruit and manage volunteers and facilitators for local program delivery
Develop training policies to ensure program integrity and effectiveness
Help manage the advisory board for the Black Youth Justice Program
Apply for grants and contribute to fundraising efforts for program sustainability and expansion
Preferred Qualifications:
Ongoing or completed education in law or related fields
Professional experience in the non-profit and justice education sectors
Strong knowledge of issues facing the Black community in Canada
Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills
A collaborative, inclusive, and social-justice–oriented mindset
Lived experience and/or deep involvement with the Black community is highly preferred
