Production Operator

Description:

Cleveland-Cliffs, through its division Fleetwood Metal Industries, is seeking motivated and reliable Production Operators to join its Otterville, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Production Operator plays a crucial role in operating robot weld cells and manufacturing quality metal components used in the automotive and industrial sectors.

This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor robot weld cells to ensure efficient production of quality parts.

• Conduct production line work such as reworking, packing, sorting, and inspecting components.

• Assist and support press operators during setup and operational processes.

• Perform quality checks to ensure all products meet specified standards and part requirements.

• Use welding and grinding hand tools to complete assigned manufacturing tasks.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area while complying with all health and safety protocols.

• Support departments including maintenance, tooling, quality, and logistics to ensure seamless production flow.

• Participate actively in process improvement initiatives aimed at productivity and efficiency.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the management team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to meet daily production quotas and maintain quality standards while performing repetitive tasks.

• Strong ability to follow instructions and retain technical information.

• Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts (Days, Afternoons, and Midnights).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined with prior exposure to manufacturing or automotive production environments.

• Experience operating welding equipment, robotic systems, or metal stamping machinery is an asset.
