Description:
TalentMinded Inc., on behalf of its client — a global manufacturer renowned for innovation, quality, and continuous growth — is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This pivotal leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of all maintenance and facilities functions, driving safety, efficiency, and reliability across the plant. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will oversee a team of skilled tradespeople and technicians while optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of essential equipment and infrastructure.
Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and trades professionals. Set priorities, assign work, monitor performance, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance Program Oversight:
Develop, implement, and refine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across all plant equipment, utilities, and facilities. Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and root cause analysis to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
Safety & Compliance:
Champion all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring full compliance with workplace standards. Conduct audits, inspections, and training sessions while promoting a culture of safety and adherence to 5S principles.
Operational Planning & Continuous Improvement:
Manage the maintenance department’s budget and capital projects, oversee contractors, and leverage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, analyze performance data, and identify improvement opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with production leaders, engineers, and project managers to support equipment requirements, coordinate maintenance activities, and contribute to overall process improvements.
Proven progressive maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Hands-on expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance programs and CMMS utilization.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop teams while improving operational performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across departments and with external contractors.
Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives is a strong asset.
