Metal Fabricator Assembler

Flynn Group of Companies, North America's leading trade contractor specializing in the building envelope—including roofing, glazing, waterproofing, and architectural metals—is hiring a Metal Fabricator/Assembler for its Mississauga, ON branch. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in using grinders, hand tools, and metal fabrication, and is located conveniently near Airport Road and Derry.

The successful candidate will contribute to the fabrication and assembly of custom architectural aluminum panels, working on a day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday). Reporting directly to the Metals Production Manager, this role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills and grow within a well-established and award-winning organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate metal cleaning and grinding equipment to remove welds, rust, scale, and other surface materials.

• Use grinders, rivet guns, drills, and other hand tools for fabrication.

• Polish metal products to a mirror finish.

• Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings.

• Transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the plant using manual or powered equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness of machines and immediate work area.

• Ensure consistent product quality and compliance with fabrication standards.

• Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, vernier calipers, and micrometers.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for up to 8 hours per shift.

• Proficient with hand tools and reading fabrication drawings.

• Ability to calculate angles and mark up materials for fabrication.
