Business Development Representative

 

Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Representative (PMA Sales) to join our team.

Under the direction of the Ontario Regional Sales Manager, the Inspection and Service Sales Representative is responsible for proactive sales prospecting, qualification of new sales and service opportunities, with a primary focus on preventive maintenance agreements.

Serving as a product/service specialist, the role involves addressing customer needs through effective problem solving and providing instructions on proper inspection requirements.

This position guides the entire sales process, ensuring the maintenance agreement is quoted, sold and completed to the customers satisfaction. We offer a uncapped commission structure/offering unlimited earning potential based on performance.

 

The PMA Sales Representative is expected to actively engage in various civic, professional and industry related organizations, workshops, seminars or business development opportunities, representing the company in a positive and professional manner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively sell preventative maintenance and service contracts.
  • Develop sales proposals, quotations, estimates and related functions.
  • Presents proposals, quotations, and estimates to customers, closing sales opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and follow up.
  • Provides assistance in resolving any customer service or installation issues, coordinating with Managers and Coordinators.
  • Assist in A/R collection of customer accounts as needed
  • Prepare & submit accurate & thorough sales activity reports and forecasts as directed by the Ontario Regional Sales Manager.
  • Submit accurate expense and administrative reports as directed by the Ontario Regional Sales Manager.
  • Complete all mandatory company compliance certifications and safety training by assigned deadlines.
  • Willingness to train and learn new product lines and processes.
  • Availability to travel on business as required.
  • Attend and participate in all safety, service and general staff meetings as required.
  • Regularly meet with the Ontario Regional Sales Manager to review all sales activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Sales targets and expectations are outlined annually by the Ontario Regional Sales Manager.
  • Demonstrate effective salesmanship and negotiation skills.
  • Properly manage customer sales relationships with prompt customer service, timely cost quotations and necessary follow up.
  • Display problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B Industrial Contracting Sales
  • Proven experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales environments
  • Post-secondary education (degree or diploma preferred)
