Description:

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Business Development Associate for its Mississauga, ON office. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed for a proactive and client-focused professional who will play a critical role in expanding and maintaining Element’s relationships with over 200+ growth and retention clients. This inside sales role focuses on driving business expansion, ensuring client satisfaction, and serving as the key liaison between internal technical teams and external stakeholders.

The position supports Element’s mission to “Make tomorrow safer than today” by enabling commercial success across their global network of laboratories. It offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that combines sales, science, and high-impact customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at assigned accounts

  • Maintain personal rapport with clients to understand service needs and future requirements

  • Identify opportunities early in the sales process to maximize Element's share of wallet

  • Qualify prospects with support from inbound teams and technical specialists

  • Collaborate with technical and lab personnel to support the sales process

  • Follow up promptly on quotes and proposals

  • Record all customer interactions, updates, and leads in the CRM system

  • Engage in regular pipeline reviews, ensuring up-to-date CRM entries and proper opportunity tracking

  • Drive revenue growth through client retention and account penetration

  • Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of Element’s offerings through training and coaching

  • Adhere to all internal policies, including compliance, ethical conduct, safety, and environmental regulations

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related or technical field

  • Strong communication skills for writing reports, interpreting contracts/specifications, and presenting to customers

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve practical problems and interpret various types of data

  • Proven ability to calculate commissions, discounts, interest, and basic algebra/geometry concepts

  • Experience with CRM tools and sales pipelines

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (for occasional business travel)
