Business Analyst

Description:

Raas Infotek is urgently seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner for a hybrid role based in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the financial services sector, with particular focus in custody, security services, investment services, or trade management.

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for developing and estimating plans for requirement completion while leading IT business analysis efforts for assigned programs and projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders to drive discovery, elicitation, and prioritization of requirements, ensuring business needs are effectively translated into technical deliverables.

This role demands a skilled communicator and team player capable of navigating complex delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative environments. You will conduct requirement walkthroughs, facilitate collaborative workshops, and resolve system issues through the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop plans and estimates for requirement completion as a Product Owner

• Lead IT business analysis efforts for large and complex financial services projects

• Elicit, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements

• Influence stakeholders to gain support for requirement strategies

• Conduct and lead collaborative sessions with diverse business stakeholders

• Prepare documentation for reviews, lead walkthroughs, and ensure sign-offs

• Track and resolve business systems issues throughout the project lifecycle

• Collaborate effectively across teams, maintaining strong professional relationships

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of financial industry experience, preferably in custody, securities services, investment services, or trade management

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst

• Proven experience working within Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile methodologies

• Strong expertise in requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, and prioritization

• Ability to influence stakeholders at a program level

• Exceptional analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
