Associate Investment Counsellor

Description:

CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank and is seeking an Associate Investment Counsellor I (AIC I) to assist the Investment Counsellor in servicing the investment needs of high net worth clients. The role will focus on supporting business development targets, establishing and maintaining relationships within the CPIC team, and working with CIBC partners in Wealth Management.

Key responsibilities include supporting the development of new CPIC clients, preparing marketing materials, and eventually delivering marketing presentations. Additionally, the AIC I will collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and will gain valuable coaching on investment knowledge, client relationship management, and sales skills. The role also involves adhering to compliance procedures and continually updating knowledge on market trends and financial products.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Business or Economics (Master’s degree is an asset)

• 4-6 years of experience in a client servicing role, preferably with high net worth clients

• CFA Level 1 completion or CIM designation with 12-24 months of relevant investment management experience

• Strong communication and financial analysis skills

• Sales management skills, including the ability to execute sales strategies effectively
