We’re working with a growing building engineering consultancy that’s looking to bring on a Team Lead Electrical Designer / Engineer. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys leading a team while staying hands-on with design and technical work.

You’ll play a key role in delivering projects, mentoring team members, and building strong client relationships across a diverse mix of projects. It’s an opportunity to step into a leadership position while still being closely involved in the technical side of the work.

What You’ll Be Doing
 

• Lead multiple electrical design projects from concept through construction
• Provide technical oversight and ensure quality across designs and documentation
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate designers and engineers
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and reports
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and civil teams
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and support construction coordination
• Assist with contract administration, including shop drawing and site reviews
• Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Contribute to team growth, hiring, and improving internal processes
   

What You Bring
 

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in building consulting engineering
• Strong experience in electrical systems design, including power, lighting, and emergency systems
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members
• Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
   

Nice To Have
 

• P.Eng. designation or working toward it, or CET with strong consulting experience
• Experience in healthcare, institutional, commercial, or multi-residential projects
• Exposure to business development, proposals, or team growth initiatives
