Senior Business Analyst

Description:

CAE, a global leader in training for the civil aviation, defense, and healthcare markets, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Financial Systems to join their innovative financial systems team.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing CAE’s financial systems and processes. Reporting to the Financial Systems Manager, you will lead process improvement initiatives, develop system prototypes, and act as a key liaison between finance and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a thought leader in technical business processes, driving system improvements for efficiency and productivity.

• Manage and maintain documentation for projects, processes, and operations.

• Assess and implement process and system enhancements.

• Communicate with key stakeholders and ensure follow-ups.

• Act as a bridge between finance and IT teams, both internal and external.

• Develop and present project management plans and system enhancement proposals.

• Analyze business and industry data, including KPIs and financial reports.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience working with ERP, FP&A, and financial consolidation systems.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or a related field.

• Strong business analysis skills to convert user needs into clear system requirements.

• Expertise in financial data analysis using Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, presentations).

• Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders.

• Problem-solving skills and experience with business process mapping.

• Self-motivated, capable of multitasking under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle / Hyperion environments (Oracle 11/12/Cloud, HFM, PBCS, FDM/FDMEE).

• Advanced knowledge of Excel.

• Proficiency in French (spoken and written) is an asset.
