Financial Analyst

Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This role works closely with the Controller and the accounting team to handle day-to-day tasks, assist with month-end closing, support audits, and uphold strong internal controls. The ideal candidate has solid accounting knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a desire to grow within a collaborative finance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly and annual financial statementsSupport the Controller in managing the accounting team and daily financial operationsAnalyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesDevelop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and planningSupport monthly reporting cycles and conduct variance analysisCreate dashboards and performance reports for leadershipCollaborate across departments to understand financial performance driversPrepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior managementHandle ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field3–5 years of accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory roleStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProficient in accounting software and ExcelFamiliarity with ERP systems (e.g., Zoho, SAP, Oracle) is a strong assetExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsHigh attention to detail with a strong sense of integrityAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBilingualism in French and English is required. English is essential for communicating with vendors outside Quebec.
Preferred Skills:CPA designation or in progressExperience in manufacturing or distribution environmentsFamiliarity with ERP systems and financial tools
