Description:

Cogeco Communications Inc., a leading organization in the telecommunications and media sector, is seeking an Analyste FP&A to join its team in Montreal, QC. The selected candidate will play an integral role in operational cost management, acting as a business partner to optimize OPEX and serving as a key finance resource for capital workforce management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in monthly OPEX variance analysis meetings with department leadership to identify operational challenges impacting costs and financial forecasts.

• Analyze operational issues and collaborate with operations and performance measurement teams to implement actions that enhance organizational performance.

• Develop dashboards to monitor performance improvements and track the impact of implemented actions.

• Build strong business relationships with operational teams to understand, optimize, and ensure the effective allocation of costs.

• During budgeting and revisions, interpret OPEX views by department to prepare presentations for decision-making, identifying risks and opportunities.

• Participate in special projects and various ad-hoc analyses.

Core Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline; CPA required.

• 3 to 7 years of experience as a financial analyst.

• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.

• Bilingual in French and English (must collaborate with stakeholders outside Quebec).

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Knowledge of labor capitalization standards (an asset).

• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite tools.

• Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
