Security Operator

Description:

Giant Tiger Stores Limited, a proudly Canadian retail company, is hiring a Security Operator for a full-time 3-month contract at its Home Office located on Walkley Road in Ottawa, ON. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and licensed security professional to support the company's loss prevention operations and maintain the safety of facilities and staff.

Job Schedule:

• 12-hour rotating shifts

• Pattern: 3 days on / 3 days off, followed by 4 days on / 4 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and execute approved Loss Prevention programs and strategies.

• Monitor and analyze CCTV footage at the Home Office.

• Identify security vulnerabilities and take immediate action to close any gaps.

• Respond promptly and professionally to store-related inquiries and emergencies.

• Prioritize and manage ad hoc tasks related to safety and security in store environments.

• Maintain incident logs and communicate effectively with internal departments.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a security operator role.

• Must hold a valid security guard license.

• Experience handling emergency and high-pressure situations is required.

Preferred (Asset) Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
