Forge Consulting Group is currently recruiting for a Section Manager – Estimating (Tool & Die) on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company located in Windsor, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the estimating department for tool & die and stamping projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily operations of the estimating department for tool & die and stamping projects
• Review, assign, and manage quoting requests to ensure timely and precise delivery
• Develop and maintain pricing templates, cost models, and estimation tools
• Interpret technical drawings, specs, and customer needs to create detailed cost estimates
• Collaborate with engineering, tooling, and production teams to assess feasibility and capacity
• Ensure all estimates accurately reflect labor, materials, machine time, and overhead
• Make strategic decisions related to make-vs-buy analysis and risk evaluation
• Approve final quotes for submission to sales/customers
• Monitor and analyze quoting success rates and implement improvements
• Mentor junior estimators and support succession planning
• Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes and accuracy

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in tool & die or stamping manufacturing, with 2+ years in a supervisory estimating role
• Strong knowledge of stamping processes, tooling design, machining, and materials

Preferred Qualifications:

• Tool & die processing experience
• Engineering and design background
