Restaurant Server

Description:

Cineplex’s The Rec Room is hiring Servers to provide an exceptional dining experience to guests. Servers will take accurate orders, deliver food and beverages, and ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Additional responsibilities include maintaining restaurant cleanliness, assisting with table setups, and complying with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take food and beverage orders and relay them to the appropriate staff

• Maintain menu knowledge, including food and drink specials

• Serve food and drinks courteously and professionally

• Ensure tables are set, clean, and decorated as per company standards

• Clean tables and remove used dishes promptly

• Process guest payments and ensure accurate billing

• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally

• Monitor food safety and liquor service guidelines

• Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance

• Attend staff meetings and training sessions

• Assist in fire or evacuation drills and adhere to safety policies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Provincially required alcohol service certification

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle fast-paced service

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Professional demeanor and positive team attitude

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs
