Research Supervisor

Description:

McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine at Campus Outaouais is seeking instructors to supervise small research groups for the course “Principles of Research.” The position involves teaching six sessions of 2 hours each, from September 2025 to April 2026, in person.

Instructors will guide groups of about 6 students as they develop a research question and a (virtual) project under supervision. Teaching is conducted in French.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• PhD completed January 2012 or later

• Fluent in French or English, with ability to communicate in the other official Canadian language

• Commitment to apply for external post-doctoral fellowships during the first year

• PhD in biochemistry, biomedical sciences, health sciences, nutrition, or related fields

• Experience in clinical studies (participant recruitment, ethics committee submissions, interdisciplinary medical teams)

• Experience analyzing food journals is an asset

• Good knowledge of energy metabolism and mitochondrial function recommended
