LOOP Mission is a circular economy company dedicated to reducing food waste by repurposing discarded food products from the industry. The company produces a variety of sustainable products, including cold-pressed juices, smoothies, probiotic sodas, beer made from day-old bakery bread, gin crafted from potato scraps, and soaps created from repurposed cooking oils.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the plant's safe and efficient daily operations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining work methods, processes, and procedures related to equipment maintenance. Additionally, you will oversee the planning of maintenance activities, ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are followed, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Planning:

  • Maintain the preventive maintenance program for production equipment and building systems by preparing weekly schedules and overseeing execution (internal and subcontracted).
  • Organize maintenance tasks by assigning personnel, optimizing work schedules, and preparing necessary materials.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory and place orders to ensure equipment availability.
  • Participate in hands-on maintenance work to ensure efficient and long-term production operations.
  • Monitor and control machine settings for different products (centerlining).

Safety & Optimization:

  • Act as the maintenance representative in the Occupational Health & Safety Committee, implement safety programs (lockout/tagout, machine safety), and foster a strong safety culture within the plant.
  • Identify and report any food safety non-compliance issues to the SQF team and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute a plan to minimize technical downtime in collaboration with the production department.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electromechanics (D.E.P.) – Mandatory
  • Experience in the food & beverage industry
  • Minimum 3 years as a Maintenance Supervisor
  • Minimum 5 years as an Electromechanic in a food production or related industry
  • Knowledge of automation and electrical systems (an asset)
  • Strong hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing health & safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and ability to train workers
