Radio Co-host

Description:

Cogeco Média Inc., through its subsidiary station Rythme 100.1 in Trois-Rivières, is actively seeking a Co-animateur / Co-animatrice to join their morning show team. Reporting to the Programming Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for the creative and technical execution of live radio content in an energetic and professional manner.

This position offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic and passionate individual to be the voice of morning radio for the region of Mauricie. The ideal candidate will not only bring excellent communication and presentation skills but also be fully immersed in the pulse of the local community and capable of producing engaging content tailored to regional listeners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, research, coordinate bookings, animate, and operate live morning show broadcasts.

• Serve as co-host and interviewer, delivering compelling on-air segments.

• Perform live promotional reports and advertising segments.

• Conduct live and pre-recorded interviews.

• Engage with audiences by posting on station-affiliated social media and preparing digital audio clips.

• Voice commercial ads, station promotions, or show segments as needed.

• Operate technical equipment in the studio to ensure smooth broadcasts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in Radio Broadcasting or an equivalent field.

• Previous experience in a similar radio or media position is considered an asset.

• In-depth understanding of radio broadcasting operations (asset).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a positive and dynamic approach.

• Excellent proficiency in French (spoken and written).

• Solid knowledge and practical use of social media platforms.

• Proven leadership and sound judgment in content and interaction.

• Must be available for local travel within the Mauricie region.

• Passionate about local culture and community life.
