Description:
CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a Project Coordinator for its Content Development and Production team for Radio-Canada Ohdio (French Services). This is a long-term contract position and requires fluency in French (speaking, writing, and reading). The position offers a hybrid work schedule with a mix of in-office and remote work, depending on departmental guidelines.
This role will focus on organizing, planning, and managing tactics to enhance live events and drive audience engagement for the OHdio platform. Reporting directly to Proximity Strategy and Operations leadership, the Project Coordinator will ensure that community initiatives are well-executed and aligned with leadership’s strategic goals.
Community Initiatives: Pitch, plan, and execute community initiatives tied to both linear and non-linear content, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Public Engagement Coordination: Oversee and adjust public engagement initiatives as required, ensuring efficient collaboration with on-air production teams and other relevant departments.
Business Process Improvement: Help streamline and implement efficient, sustainable business processes for the content development team.
Resource Management: Manage resources for allocated projects, including onboarding and training new hires and supervising digital editors.
Collaboration: Develop opportunities for collaboration across teams to foster innovation in public engagement initiatives.
Operational Planning: Provide input to strategic planning documents and assist in operationalizing content development initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role.
Creative Problem-Solving: Creative, open-minded approach to finding solutions and achieving team goals.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence with tact and diplomacy.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the audio and radio industry.
Language Proficiency: Excellent command of spoken and written French.
Work Schedule: Availability to work weekends as part of the regular schedule.
