Purolator Inc., Canada’s leading integrated freight, package, and logistics provider, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Analyst to join their dynamic technology team in Mississauga, Ontario. As a QA Automation Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of Purolator’s various shipping channel applications. The role demands both technical expertise and proactive teamwork in a fast-paced Agile environment. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing automation practices, improving test coverage, and mentoring QA teams on automation frameworks and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and guide QA teams in automation techniques.

• Evaluate existing automation processes, identify gaps, and increase test coverage across multiple applications.

• Research, recommend, and implement new automation tools to ensure continuous improvement in test efficiency.

• Write and execute SQL queries for backend validation and data integrity checks.

• Design, document, and execute detailed test strategies and plans.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track software defects.

• Generate comprehensive test status and progress reports.

• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle for Purolator’s core shipping applications including E-Ship Server, Data File Distribution, Mobile App, Web Services, EDI, and SAP.

• Support production teams by diagnosing and resolving software issues.

• Coordinate and lead test execution across multiple concurrent projects.

Education and Professional Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in QA testing and automation scripting.

• Strong working knowledge of:

  • Automation tools: Robot Framework, Selenium, Python, READYAPI

  • Database validation: SQL

  • Version control: GitHub and GitHub Actions

  • APIs: REST, SOAP, XML, API-based solutions

  • CI/CD pipelines and AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot) for automation.

• Experience with JIRA/Zephyr for test management.

• Exposure to testing Mobile Apps, EDI, SAP, and AWS Cloud environments is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with JMeter for performance testing is a plus.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or in hybrid teams.
