Business Development Manager

Description:

KDS Global Logistics, a Canadian customs brokerage and freight forwarding company established in 2007 and headquartered in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager. This role focuses on driving new business growth by identifying opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, developing strategic business plans, and conducting thorough market research. The Business Development Manager will lead contract negotiations, prepare sales reports, collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams, and represent the company at industry events and conferences. This is a hands-on role critical to expanding KDS’s market presence and client base within the logistics and transportation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capture them

• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

• Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competition

• Negotiate contracts and manage agreements with clients and partners

• Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management review

• Collaborate effectively with sales and marketing teams to align business development efforts

• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and market research capabilities

• Skilled in negotiation and contract management

• Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans

• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

• Experience in logistics or transportation industry is mandatory
