Description:
As Director, Property Management, you will play a key strategic leadership role within the organization. You will oversee all property management operations across the portfolio, ensuring best-in-class tenant experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance. You will lead and develop a team of property management professionals, while actively contributing to process optimization, strategic initiatives, and the continued growth of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of property managers across various levels, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture rooted in accountability and engagement
- Drive performance management, coaching, career development, workforce planning, and talent acquisition initiatives
- Deliver a best-in-class tenant experience across all properties by building strong relationships, ensuring timely issue resolution, and implementing tenant satisfaction and retention strategies
- Conduct regular site visits to uphold service excellence and ensure adherence to operational standards
- Oversee annual budgeting and financial planning, while monitoring revenues, expenses, and variances to ensure overall portfolio performance
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, reporting standards, and internal processes, in close collaboration with accounting teams
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including rent collection, handling complex tenant matters, and providing recommendations on provisions, write-offs, and legal actions
- Collaborate with legal teams on outstanding tenant-related cases
- Partner cross-functionally with Technical Services and other departments to ensure operational alignment, effective delivery, and seamless coordination
- Oversee vendor performance and manage service contracts
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting ESG and certification efforts
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization
What you will bring
You bring 10+ years of progressive experience in property management, including proven leadership experience managing and developing teams. You have strong financial acumen and operational expertise, along with hands-on experience overseeing commercial real estate portfolios. You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Bilingualism in French and English is required.
