Mercer International Inc. is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to join its dynamic team at Mercer Mass Timber, based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting and scaling Mercer’s Mass Timber Construction Projects Division. This individual will be responsible for coordinating multiple project activities, including submittals, RFIs, scheduling, and financial controls. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess exceptional organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and contribute directly to sustainable, large-scale construction projects shaping the future of modern architecture.
Maintain and update project documentation including drawings, specifications, logs, and RFPs; ensure accuracy, version control, and accessibility across the project team.
Manage submittals and RFI (Request for Information) processes with vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Administer project financial controls, assist with cost tracking, billing, and change order documentation.
Coordinate vendor and subcontractor engagement while ensuring compliance with project contracts and timelines.
Support project scheduling, logistics, and coordination activities across multiple departments.
Track and analyze labor performance, progress metrics, and project deliverables.
Archive and maintain records of all project activities including delays, change orders, and safety incidents.
Build and maintain positive relationships with general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Assist in pre-construction planning, estimating, and project close-out procedures.
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Operations Manager to ensure timely delivery of project goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
3–5+ years of experience in project coordination or a similar role in construction or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of document management systems, RFI tracking, and construction drawings.
Experience in financial tracking, including cost ledgers, billing, and change orders.
Familiarity with project scheduling tools and logistics coordination.
Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse project stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail, multitasking skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Annual Salary: CAD 55,000 – 65,000 (approx. CAD 4583 – 5416 per month).
