Operations Manager

Description:

MatchBox Consulting Group is actively seeking an Operations Manager to join one of the largest electrical contracting firms in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. The successful candidate will be entrusted with leading the IMIT (Information Management/Information Technology) team, overseeing the complete lifecycle of electrical infrastructure projects with a particular focus on healthcare settings. This role demands a strategic leader with a keen understanding of electrical systems, code compliance, and project delivery methodologies.

The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating project execution, maintaining timelines, managing budgets, and nurturing positive client relationships, while ensuring all health, safety, and quality standards are rigorously maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee end-to-end project execution, from initial planning to final completion.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project alignment.

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, with ongoing monitoring and adjustments.

• Perform regular site inspections to confirm adherence to safety regulations, project specs, and timelines.

• Maintain and build strong client relationships, acting swiftly to resolve any concerns or changes during project execution.

Candidate Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience managing electrical projects, with a successful track record of delivery.

• Specific experience working in healthcare infrastructure projects is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, Canadian codes, and regulatory standards.

• Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, capable of handling multiple priorities.
