Bell Média is seeking an experienced and dynamic News Producer to join the CTV Your Morning Winnipeg team. This role is ideal for a passionate journalist who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom environment and has strong editorial judgment, production expertise, and leadership abilities. The producer will play a pivotal role in shaping the content, tone, and overall direction of the morning program, working closely with anchors, producers, and technical staff to deliver compelling and engaging newscasts for the Winnipeg audience.

As a member of Bell’s award-winning media team, the successful candidate will help create and distribute high-quality Canadian content across television and digital platforms while contributing to Bell’s mission of transforming communication across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily production of CTV Your Morning Winnipeg, ensuring high editorial standards and engaging storytelling.

  • Make key decisions about story selection, program content, and editorial direction in collaboration with the newsroom leadership.

  • Work closely with anchors, producers, video journalists, and the assignments desk to write, edit, and finalize scripts and segments for broadcast and online publication.

  • Direct the overall programming flow and visual presentation of the show.

  • Lead editorial meetings, generate story ideas, and coordinate daily coverage strategies.

  • Collaborate with the sales department to integrate client-focused content aligned with viewer interests.

  • Manage the team’s performance through guidance, feedback, and accountability.

  • Execute live newscasts in control-room settings and troubleshoot production challenges as they arise.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the News and Public Affairs Director.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Broadcasting, Television Production, or Journalism.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience producing live television newscasts in a major market.

  • Strong editorial judgment and creative storytelling skills.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication abilities in both French and English.

  • Familiarity with newsroom production systems, terminology, and television equipment.

  • Proven ability to lead under pressure and make quick editorial decisions in real time.

  • Exceptional time management, organization, and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership mindset with a collaborative and motivational approach.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, including early morning shifts.

  • On-site work required at CTV Winnipeg studios.

  • Position covered under Unifor Local 191 collective agreement (Group 15).
