Inventory Coordinator

 

Description:

Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Limited is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join their team at the North York warehouse. This role is responsible for managing and controlling inventory, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting process improvements. The Inventory Coordinator will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and work closely with the Inventory Analyst and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate inventory operations.

This position requires the individual to work on-site from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for daily inventory maintenance, conducting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve internal controls in the warehouse environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Inventory Management: Maintain and reconcile inventory levels daily. Ensure the accuracy of raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse, comparing actual counts to SAP inventory levels.

  • Inventory Variance Analysis: Review Inventory Variance Reports daily and collaborate with the Inventory Analyst to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Reconciliation: Reconcile daily, monthly, and annual inventory against SAP records.

  • Documentation and Audit Support: Ensure proper documentation is available to support internal control audits and independent inventory counts.

  • Reporting: Identify and report any close-dated products, and assist in the reporting of audit results.

  • Internal Controls: Identify and communicate opportunities to improve internal controls, aligning with the company’s Policies and Procedures Manual.

  • Training and Remediation: Provide training to facility staff on policies, procedures, and internal controls, assisting with the remediation of any identified issues.

  • Special Projects: Take on special assignments as directed by the Department Manager, contributing to overall process improvement.


Qualifications and Essential Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent business experience.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, Warehouse Operations, Finance, Accounting, or Audit is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

  • Physical Ability: Ability to periodically lift, push, pull 50+ pounds, and perform physical tasks such as standing, kneeling, walking, bending, and reaching.

  • Additional Asset: CPA certification is considered a strong asset.
