Intermediate Architectural Technologist

Description:

Architecture49 Inc. is actively seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join its Québec-based team. The firm has been a prominent architectural player in Montréal and Québec, known for iconic projects like the restoration of Hôtel Le Reine Elizabeth, the West Block of Parliament Hill, and the reconstruction of the Voltigeurs de Québec Armoury. Currently, the team is engaged in high-impact initiatives such as the restoration of the Édifice Gérard-D.-Lévesque, the construction of a multi-level parking structure at the Québec Aquarium, and strategic military base projects in Valcartier and Bagotville.

The successful candidate will:

• Produce technical design documents and contract documentation according to client requirements.

• Collaborate with senior team members to ensure designs meet technical standards, building codes, and regulations.

• Coordinate production efforts internally and with external consultants.

• Develop technical construction details for both interior systems and building envelopes.

• Engage in professional development by taking on related responsibilities aligned with personal strengths and interests.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• DEC in Architectural Technology.

• 4 to 8 years of experience in an architecture office.

• Experience in public/institutional projects (e.g., education, transportation, defense) is an asset.

• Eligibility for Reliability Security Clearance through Public Services and Procurement Canada.

• Solid understanding of technical construction details and building codes (Canada and Québec).

• Positive attitude, solution-oriented, team player, and mentoring capability.

• Strong skills in Autocad, Revit, and MS Office.

• Excellent written and spoken French.

• ASP Construction card is an asset.
