Groundsperson

Description:

Amrize, a leading North American construction solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Groundsperson to join its Saskatoon Aggregates team. This role involves carrying out scheduled ground maintenance tasks and working closely with the Aggregates Production Lead Hand to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The successful candidate will perform various types of manual work, handle materials, tools, and equipment, and operate small mobile machinery such as a skid steer when necessary. Responsibilities also include shoveling spillage around conveyors, ensuring site safety for personnel and the community, promoting best practices, fostering teamwork, resolving conflicts, identifying and communicating product issues, and adhering strictly to health, safety, and environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ground maintenance and manual labor as scheduled.

• Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.

• Operate vehicles and small machinery as required.

• Maintain cleanliness around conveyors by shoveling spillage.

• Promote and enforce safety standards and best practices.

• Support team development, communication, and problem-solving.

• Report and address any operational or product-related issues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge and experience in general maintenance work.

• Ability to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Compliance with PPE requirements, including respirator fit standards (must be clean-shaven where respirator seals to the face).
