Mechanical Design Engineer

Description:

CNH Industrial, a global leader in agriculture and construction equipment, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to join its Seeding Platform team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing and improving products that align with CNH’s mission of Innovation, Sustainability, and Productivity. This role will focus on the development of vehicle components and subsystems for seeding equipment, supporting projects from conception to product launch.

The engineer will work independently and collaboratively to develop solutions that are cost-effective, reliable, and manufacturable. Responsibilities include performing design analyses, contributing to prototype builds, and ensuring smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams. With guidance from senior engineers, the Mechanical Design Engineer II will also support documentation, specification releases, and participate in the design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) review processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and integrate vehicle components/subsystems for seeding equipment aligned with project goals

• Collaborate with engineering teams and senior engineers to manage and complete design projects

• Participate in DFM/DFA reviews, ensuring manufacturability and incorporating manufacturing feedback

• Conduct design analyses for component cost-efficiency, quality, and performance

• Support prototype development and field validation of product designs

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and drawings for internal and external use

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Agricultural Engineering with a focus on heavy machinery

• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering design, particularly in mechanical systems or agricultural equipment
