Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Description:

BNP Paribas, a leading international bank and one of Montreal’s Top Employers 2024, is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join its Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) operations. The role focuses on management reporting, financial analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful performance data.

This position involves close collaboration with stakeholders in Montreal, New York, and India, as well as supporting strategic initiatives to automate, streamline, and enhance reporting processes. The role is part of a high-performing reporting center of excellence and requires a strong mix of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate weekly and monthly management reports aligned with management accounting principles.

• Maintain and adapt reporting structures to reflect business changes.

• Ensure data integrity, perform reconciliations, and maintain audit trails.

• Lead or support process improvements, automation initiatives, and system upgrades.

• Supervise day-to-day operations of local and offshore reporting teams.

• Partner with Client Services teams in New York to deliver timely, accurate reports and address ad hoc requests.

• Develop and maintain productivity KPIs for stakeholders.

• Conduct yearly reviews of reporting suites to ensure relevance and value.

• Contribute to projects impacting reporting, data sourcing, and systems evolution.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Performance Management.

• 2–4 years in a similar role within financial services.

• Expertise in BI and data processing tools (Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).

• Advanced Excel and automation capabilities.

• Strong communication skills in both French and English.
