Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Test Technician responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the proper functionality of electronic devices installed in Homestays. The role involves traveling daily between multiple hotel locations within a 50-mile radius of Vancouver to perform device checks, report issues, and support quality assurance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site testing and validation of electronic devices installed in Homestays (e.g., TVs, Wi-Fi equipment, smart controls, IoT devices, etc.)
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all devices are functioning as expected
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document any defects or performance issues
- Execute test cases and validation procedures as per defined guidelines
- Record test results, logs, and daily activity reports accurately
- Coordinate with technical teams to report and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures
- Travel daily to 2–3 hotel locations within a 50-mile radius of Vancouver
- Support installation validation and post-deployment checks when required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years of experience in device testing, field testing, or technical support
- Basic understanding of electronic devices, networking, or IoT systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow test plans and document results clearly
- Comfortable with daily travel between multiple locations
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Basic knowledge of tools like mobile apps, spreadsheets, or testing tools
