With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and professional growth, EXP is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical and Automation Engineer to join their Science and Technology team within the Building and Industry sector in Quebec. This role involves designing and managing high-impact industrial projects for clients in the agri-food, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors, while promoting sustainable, cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Project Design:

  • Design medium-voltage substations (4.16kV to 25kV) and new electrical entries for industrial clients

  • Develop single-line diagrams and motor control center layouts

  • Perform load calculations and design full building electrical systems for new installations

  • Design full backup power systems (e.g., generator installations)

  • Define and analyze client needs

Instrumentation, Control & Automation:

  • Develop P&ID diagrams and select control components (PLCs, instruments, switches, etc.)

  • Design industrial control systems, including complete network architecture

  • Design control panels and support modernization studies for control systems

Project Support Activities:

  • Prepare component lists, conduct site visits, and track construction for planning

  • Draft visit reports and meeting summaries

  • Monitor construction and commissioning phases

  • Estimate material quantities and costs

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, structural, fire protection, process, etc.)

  • Ensure engineering work adheres to EXP quality standards and industry regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automated Production, or related field

  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting or industrial/pharmaceutical/agri-food settings

  • Strong technical knowledge and project leadership in electrical and automation systems

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle

  • Fluent in French (spoken and written)

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Eplan, and Revit
