Senior EMC Engineer – Aerospace

Location: Dorval, QC, Canada

Role: Professional Senior, Engineering – Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

We are seeking an experienced EMC Engineering professional to join an aerospace engineering team supporting aircraft certification, safety, production, and in-service activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead EMC activities covering EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning & ESD

• Perform EMC analysis, simulations, and qualification/certification assessments

• Support aircraft-level EMC testing and certification activities

• Review test procedures, reports, and compliance documentation

• Assess aircraft systems and structures for EMC compliance

• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and customers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or Physics

• 8+ years of EMC experience

• 4+ years of aerospace EMC qualification/certification experience

• Knowledge of RTCA DO-160 and SAE ARP standards

• Familiarity with FAA, TCCA & EASA regulations

• Strong engineering, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Aerospace industry experience preferred

• French language skills are an asset
