Tommy Bahama’s Marlin Bar is seeking dedicated Dishwashers to support its culinary operations in a relaxed, tropical-themed environment that merges dining with retail therapy. The Dishwasher plays a critical role in ensuring a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment that upholds the brand’s standards of excellence. The position is essential for delivering an outstanding guest experience and maintaining operational efficiency.

Dishwashers are expected to be actively involved in the team environment by demonstrating hospitality and professionalism. Responsibilities include sanitizing and cleaning kitchenware, tableware, and cookware; properly operating dishwashing machinery; organizing the dish area; and supporting general housekeeping duties. This position also involves strict adherence to cleanliness and safety regulations as mandated by local health authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively engage as part of a team to foster a hospitable and efficient work environment

• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, equipment, and kitchen surfaces

• Operate dish machines safely and accurately, including setup and breakdown procedures

• Perform general housekeeping tasks (e.g., sweeping, mopping, trash removal)

• Ensure agency-standard sanitation across all back-of-house areas

• Assist in other duties as required by the business

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a high-volume culinary or hospitality environment

• Valid food handler’s card (as required by local/state/federal law)

• Knowledge of kitchenware storage, cleaning, and sanitation practices

• High school diploma or GED

• Willingness to support other team members and take on additional duties when needed

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds

• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling

• Standing for the full duration of scheduled shifts

• Ability to operate kitchen tools and machinery (e.g., hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, etc.)
