Devops Engineer

Description:

Raas Infotek is urgently seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer / System Administrator to join their premium IT team responsible for mission-critical financial applications. This role demands designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure and systems, with a focus on automation, performance optimization, and security compliance within the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers, operations, and security teams to design and implement scalable infrastructure.

• Automate deployment, scaling, and observability of applications and services.

• Continuously improve system performance, availability, and security.

• Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams on deployment pipelines, incident response, and recovery plans.

• Participate in an on-call schedule to support after-hours maintenance.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years supporting Linux (RedHat) operating systems.

• 5-7 years supporting IBM Products infrastructure (WebSphere, IHS, MQ, LDAP, TSM).

• Strong experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and YAML.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift.

• Expertise in observability and logging tools: Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, Cloud Watch.

• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages: Python, Bash, JavaScript.

• Experience in security and compliance in financial or regulated industries.

• Strong experience with GitOps and Continuous Deployment tools; GitHub preferred.

• Knowledge of ITIL processes including Problem, Change, Configuration, and Release Management.

• Familiarity with Oracle products: Oracle DB, OEM, Golden Gate.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields preferred.

• Strong communication, documentation skills, and ability to coach team members.

• Must have experience working in the financial industry.

• Position may require some limited travel.
