Devops Engineer

Description:

Raas Infotek is urgently seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer / System Administrator to join their premium IT team supporting mission-critical financial applications. This hybrid role is based in Scarborough, ON, with responsibilities spanning infrastructure design, automation, system performance, and security optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design and maintain robust, secure, scalable infrastructure.

• Automate deployment, scaling, and observability of applications and services.

• Continuously optimize performance, availability, and security of systems.

• Work closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to develop deployment pipelines and incident response plans.

• Participate in on-call schedules for after-hours system support and maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5-7 years supporting Linux OS (RedHat).

• 5-7 years experience with IBM products infrastructure (WebSphere, IHS, MQ, LDAP, TSM).

• Strong expertise with configuration management tools, preferably Ansible and YAML.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift.

• Familiarity with observability/logging tools like Dynatrace, Elasticsearch, CloudWatch.

• Proficient in scripting/programming languages: Python, Bash, JavaScript.

• Strong security and compliance experience within financial or regulated industries.

• Experience with GitOps and Continuous Deployment tools; strong Git and GitHub skills.

• Good interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of ITIL processes: Problem, Change, Configuration, and Release Management.

• Familiarity with Oracle products (Oracle DB, OEM, Golden Gate) is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.

• Ability to communicate well and coach team members.

• Some limited travel may be required.
