Mastercard, a global leader in digital payments technology, is seeking a Consultant in Advisors & Consulting Services – Performance Analytics to join its Vancouver team. The role is part of Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services group, which combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s data assets, proprietary platforms, and technology to deliver actionable insights and strategies for clients across industries, including banking, retail, payments, and more.

The Performance Analytics specialization focuses on translating complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations, helping clients unlock value through strategic and data-driven decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across diverse industries, leveraging Mastercard’s global expertise and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide innovative input and solutions to client projects across industries and problem statements.

  • Contribute to the development of data and analytics strategies for regional and global clients.

  • Collaborate with Mastercard teams to understand client needs, priorities, and risks.

  • Build trusted working relationships with client managers and analysts.

  • Lead and contribute to client presentations, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Independently identify data trends, anomalies, and patterns, and synthesize findings into clear narratives.

  • Manage tasks, client communications, and project workstreams in collaboration with senior consultants.

  • Contribute to the intellectual capital of Mastercard Advisors through thought leadership.

  • Receive mentorship and training from senior leaders in performance analytics for career growth.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong experience in business intelligence and data analytics.

  • Expertise in descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics.

  • Strong proficiency with analytical tools (Python, R, SQL, SAS).

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience managing client or stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong communication skills in English (and local language if applicable).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to obtain travel visas as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).

  • Experience with Hadoop framework and coding tools such as Impala, Hive, or PySpark.

  • Strong ability to structure complex problems, analyze solutions, and recommend best-fit strategies.

  • Previous consulting or industry-specific expertise is an asset.
