Symphony Nova Scotia, a cornerstone of Nova Scotia’s cultural landscape, is seeking a visionary and dynamic CEO to lead the organization into its next era. Known for artistic excellence, community engagement, and educational outreach, the Symphony reaches over 50,000 people annually.
Role Overview:
Serve as the strategic and operational leader, collaborating with the Board of Directors, Music Director, Senior Leadership Team, Foundation, donors, funding partners, and community stakeholders.
Manage a budget of $5–6 million with a team of 18 administrative staff and 37 musicians.
Drive vision, operations, and impact with a focus on growth, renewal, sustainability, artistic vibrancy, and community relevance.
Lead efforts to diversify revenue streams, expand audiences, and deepen impact through inclusive programming, education, and outreach.
Act as a visible ambassador, building strong relationships with donors, funders, musicians, artists, and audiences.
